AMD Ryzen 5000 CPU Release Time Confirmed: October 9th

AMD has been announced on the official website that will hold the AMD Ryzen 5000 CPU conference at 12 o’clock on October 8th Eastern Time, which is 0 o’clock on October 9th Beijing time. AMD said that CEO Su Zifeng will bring a keynote speech to introduce the new generation of AMD Ryzen processors and the new Zen 3 architecture.

As shown in the figure above, in CineBench R20, AMD’s 16-core 32-thread R9 5950X single-core run scored 619 points, ranking first. The R9 5900X with 12 cores and 24 threads and the R7 5800X with 8 cores and 16 threads single-core 606 points, tied for second place. The mid-range model R5 5600X single-core 574 points, lost to the 11th generation Core top model i7-1185G7.

In addition, the running score data shows that the Boost frequency of Ryzen 5000 series processors has increased significantly, with R9 5950X reaching up to 4.9GHz, and R9 5900X and R7 5800X can also reaching 4.8GHz.

Although CineBench R20 is AMD’s dominant project, we can see that the single-core performance of AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors has greatly increased based on the running score data, and the competition for the strongest gaming CPU will become more intense.

It is obvious that with a unified L3 cache system, better integer performance, and higher operating frequency, the gaming performance of AMD Zen3 architecture processors will definitely change the current market structure. However, everyone should not expect Zen3 architecture CPUs to be listed in advance. After all, Ryzen 3000XT series CPUs have just been on sale, and APUs also need a period of time to advance.
