After the release of apple’s 5nm A14 processor, Lu Weibing was quick to hint that a Xiaomi /Redmi 5nm phone is also in the works, no doubt referring to snapdragon 875.
Although Qualcomm has not officially released the SoC, South Korean netizens have revealed its preliminary score, based on the GeekBench 5 test software.
To put it simply, the Snapdragon 875 Samsung Galaxy S21 has a single-core score of 1159 and a multi-core score of 4090, while the Mi 11 has a single-core score of 1102 and a multi-core score of 4113.
Looking back the CPU scores of mobile phones sorted by fast technology, snapdragon 865 Plus has an average of 980 points for single core and 3300 points for multiple cores in GB5. In other words, the equivalent improvement of Snapdragon 875 is about 18% and 25% respectively.
In other words, the single-core apple A12 bionics (around 1300), and the multi-core Apple A13 bionics (around 3400).
Given that the Snapdragon 875 is still in the final phase of commissioning, including the final terminal phone, this is still possible.
The tidbit also confirms that Snapdragon 875 comes with a very large core, Cortex-A78 based on the ARM Cortex-X1 Public Model.
