Just last week, Xiaomi showed off its third generation of under-screen camera technology, which meets commercial standards for mass production and will be commercially available next year.
Many netizens speculate that next year’s Xiaomi flagship will use the screen under the camera technology, to achieve a truly comprehensive screen.
The blogger @dchat revealed that the engineering phone of Xiaomi Digital Iteration adopts the small-aperture hole-cutting scheme, and it is not yet clear which new phone will adopt the under-screen camera.
In keeping with tradition, xiaomi’s next digital flagship will be called the Mi 11 (or possibly the Mi 20). It is currently available in the form of excavator and true full screen, the use of excavator means that the mass production phone may continue this scheme.
Some netizens speculate that the Mi MIX may be the first to use the camera technology under the screen. Since the mi MIX 3 was released, Xiaomi has never released the MIX series of mass production machines, in order to pursue the ultimate design and experience.
As the best solution to achieve a truly full screen, the Mi MIX is likely to be the first to be used. The digital series, however, will probably continue to use the perforated screen scheme to maximize the hardware configuration.
As usual, the Mi 11 will be the first commercial model of Qualcomm’s new platform Snapdragon 875, which is expected to be officially launched in Q1 next year.
