Xiaomi recently introduced the new flagship smartphone Redmi K30 Ultra, equipped with a 120Hz display and a powerful processor with support for 5G networks. The novelty has become a modified version of the Redmi K30 Pro released earlier this year – in order to compare the internal structure of gadgets, bloggers of the YouTube channel Sparrows News carried out their complete disassembly.
Unlike the base model, the Redmi K30 Ultra received a “high-speed” AMOLED screen (120 Hz) with a sampling rate of 240 Hz against 60 and 180 Hz, respectively. During disassembly, it turned out that the controllers of the sensor and display of the novelty were modified and assembled into a common module. At the same time, the novelty received a fingerprint scanner that is different from the one used in the Pro version.
Another difference between the new smartphone and its predecessor is an updated speaker with an increased membrane size and Hi-Res Audio certification.
The hardware platform has also changed: Redmi K30 Pro is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, while K30 Ultra is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chip with integrated 5G modem.
Summing up the results of the “autopsy”, the authors of the video noted that there are not so many design differences between smartphones. At the same time, despite the improved display and sound, the new smartphone at the start of sales is cheaper than the earlier version – $287 versus $423 for the basic configuration.
