After many rumors, Lenovo today officially announced its Lenovo Legion Phone Duel gaming phone. The first signs that the company was planning to launch a cell phone of this type began to appear earlier this year.
According to official specifications released today, the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel has a 6.59-inch OLED screen with Full HD + resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate for greater accuracy during games. The operating system is Android 10.
It comes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus chip, which was announced last 8, 12GB / 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB / 512GB of storage capacity based on the UFS standard (Universal Flash Storage 3.1) and two 2500mAh batteries to offer a total capacity of 5000mAh. The device comes with support for fast charging Turbo Power 90W, which allows the batteries to be charged from 0 to 50% in 10 minutes or from 0 to 100% in 30 minutes.
A highlight of this model is the retractable camera positioned on the side of the phone, which can be seen in the call for this post. The 20MP camera can be used for selfies and can also be used by streamers to broadcast their matches on services like Twitch. If you want to use the device with your monitor or TV, the Home mode allows you to pair your phone with a keyboard and mouse or with a controller. Support for remapping buttons/keys is also present.
Because it is focused on games, the device’s design was designed for use in a horizontal position. It includes ultrasonic buttons that can be used as “triggers” and two rear cameras located in the central part of the phone – main 64MP with f / 1.89 aperture and ultra-wide 16MP with 120-degree field of view.
Returning to the batteries, they were positioned by Lenovo on the sides of the device. The company says that this placement serves to help prevent the logic board and batteries from overheating during use. The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel also features two USB Type-C ports.
The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel comes in Blazing Blue and Vengeance Red color options and it is available in 4 configurations. Below are the variants and their respective price tags:
- 8GB RAM + 128GB = ¥3499 ($500)
- 12GB RAM + 128GB = ¥3899 ($557)
- 12GB RAM + 256GB = ¥4199 ($600)
