Already in October this year, Huawei Mate 40 Series will hit the market. This time, more information about the top models of the manufacturer from the Middle Kingdom appears on the network.
The leak comes from the informant @ RODENT950 through his Twitter account. In this, it is stated that the Mate 40 series can present a screen quite similar to the one found in the current Huawei P40 Pro series. That means that it will have a panel whose resolution is quite particular (1200 x 2640 pixels). Additionally, the line of devices will feature a 90Hz refresh rate on their display.
In some previous leaks, it was said that the Huawei Mate 40 series could have a high refresh rate of 120Hz on its screen. However, it seems that 120Hz will not yet reach the flagship phones of the Chinese giant. Also, based on previous leaks and reports, the future Huawei Mate 40 series will feature a FreeForm camera lens combined with a 9-piece (9P) camera module for better sharpness. It will also have a Side-Touch camera interface that will take advantage of the curves on your screen.
New FreeForm camera technology can greatly reduce distortion in wide-angle lenses. When we talk about distortion, we mean the involuntary “fisheye” effect or the slight blur at the edges of a captured image. The addition of the 9-piece lens also allows for better light entry for the camera sensor, which is especially useful in low light situations.
The Mate 40 series is expected to arrive as the first Android phone to feature a 5nm chipset. This year, the Mate 40 series and Apple’s iPhone 12 series may be the only ones with a 5nm chipset. The SoC in question is said to be the HiSilicon Kirin 1000, although it was previously known as the Kirin 1020.
At the moment it only remains to wait a few months for the launch of the line. We will be aware of the news that may arise about the Huawei Mate 40 Series.
