It is expected that Huawei will release its flagship Huawei Mate 40 series as early as September, equipped with the Kirin 1020 chip, and enter into direct competition with the iPhone 12 series. In addition, MateWatch running Hongmeng OS 2.0 can be released at the same time. Thus, Huawei may become the world’s first manufacturer of 5-nm chips with Apple.
In fact, earlier, some foreign media reported that due to “graters” from the US, the mass production of the Huawei Mate 40 was delayed.
However, Chinese experts believe that the number of Kirin processors needed by Huawei by the end of the year (5nm, 7nm for mobile phones and 16nm, 28nm for Bluetooth headsets) will be provided to the Chinese in mid-September. And the fact that Huawei has postponed the mass production of flagship phones, including the Mate 40, is false information.
In addition, it was reported that Huawei plans to release a new series of smartwatches Mate Watch, which is expected to be equipped with Hongmeng and will debut with the Mate 40 series in September this year. It is also Hongmeng’s first mobile device.
Earlier, a foreign expert RODENT950 also said that Huawei Mate Watch will be the first Huawei smartwatch with Hongmeng OS, and they will debut on the same stage as the Mate 40 series.
Let me remind you, in May of this year, Huawei filed an application for the Mate Watch trademark.
Currently, the main product of Huawei of this type is the Watch GT series. Mate watches will be designed primarily for business people. In accordance with the development plan previously announced by Huawei, Hongmeng OS will cover innovative Chinese PCs, watches, bracelets, cars, speakers, headsets, VR glasses, and other devices.
