As scheduled, today Xiaomi has officially rolled out the MIUI 12 stable version for the first batch of supported models that’s are 13 in total, which include Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10, Mi 10 Youth Edition, Mi 9 Pro 5G, Mi 9 Exclusive Transparent Edition, Mi 9, Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition, Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30, Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition, Redmi K20 Pro, and Redmi K20.
Upgrade method
- If you are using the MIUI stable version, you can upgrade it in the system settings. Please make sure there is enough space on the phone, and although the data will not be cleared during the upgrade process, it is also recommended to back up important data on the computer.
- If you are using the MIUI development version, you will not receive the update push of the MIUI stable version. The development version can be switched back to the stable version through the wire brush method, this method will clear all data, please make a backup. Please refer to the Flashing Tutorial.
In addition, Xiaomi also brought two new super wallpapers· Mars Falling Locations, you can check the update in the app store to experience. It is reported that due to a large number of models, in order to avoid overload of server traffic, all models will be pushed in full from today.
MIUI 12 brings several new features such as a new UI with new animations, new themes, Dark Mode 2.0, a new camera app, Always On Display+ for eligible devices, new privacy settings, floating apps, MIUI health, etc.
