Samsung today officially released the new 5G mobile platform ” Exynos 880 “, which is Samsung’s third integrated 5G SoC after Exynos 980/990, positioning the mainstream market, but the specifications are almost the same as Exynos 980. Exynos 880 is manufactured using Samsung’s own 8nm FinFE T process, integrating eight CPU cores, including two 2.0GHz A77, six 1.8GHz A55, and integrated Mali-G76 MP5 GPU graphics core, NPU neural network unit.
In terms of video, it supports a single camera with a maximum of 64 Megapixels, or a dual camera with a maximum of 20MP + 20 Megapixels, 4K / 30fps encoding and decoding of H.264, H.265, VP9 format video, and a maximum display resolution of 2520 × 1080.
Integrated 5G baseband, 5G NR frequency band below 6GHz, maximum download rate 2.55Gbps. Maximum upload rate 1.28Gbps, under 4G LTE, maximum support for downloading Cat.16 1Gbps (five carrier aggregation), upload Cat.18 200Mbps (dual-carrier aggregation ). EN-DC 5G + 4G dual connection mode has a maximum download rate of 3.55Gbps and a maximum upload rate of 1.38Gbps.
It also supports Bluetooth 5.0, 802.11ac Wi-Fi 5, FM, GPS / Beidou / Glonas / Galileo positioning. And navigation, LPDDR4X memory, eMMC 5.1 / UFS 2.1 storage.
The difference between the previous Samsung Exynos 880 is that the large core frequency is up to 2.2GHz (the GPU frequency is not disclosed). The display resolution is up to 3360 × 1440. The single-camera is up to 108 million pixels, and the rest is basically the same.
