On May 26, Xiaomi will hold the launch of Redmi 10X and will launch a new RedmiBook. Recently, Xiaomi has released an official poster on Weibo that reveals information about the new RedmiBook 16.1 model.
As you can see from the poster shared by the company, the new RedmiBook will be able to count on a 16.1-inch display whose frames will be so small (3.26 mm) that the screen-to-body-ratio will be 90%. As if that were not enough, the display is not only beautiful to look at aesthetically but it is in every sense, with a 100% sRGB color space coverage.
For now these are the only official specifications that we are aware of but, according to an indiscretion of the last few hours, at the heart of this new product there will be an AMD chip. In particular, we speak of Ryzen 5 4500U and Ryzen 7 4700U processors combined with 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD (Samsung PM881).
The decision to adopt an unusual 16.1-inch diagonal display could be due to the new MacBook Pro 16 launched by Apple a few months ago. It will certainly not be a competitor from the performance point of view (and we also imagine in the price) but, at least in aesthetics, RedmiBook 16.1 will have a greater appeal.
