It seems increasingly clear that Xiaomi is preparing a more modest variant of the Redmi K30 5G. After yesterday confirming its existence after certification, now it was the MIUI camera app code that confirmed an important detail. As the rumors predicted, the Redmi K30i will not keep the 64MP camera present in the base model.
Instead, the bet will be on a 48MP main sensor. The user kacskrz of the XDA-Developers forum got the reference to the equipment with the model number “M2001G7AC”, in the MIUI camera code, thus confirming the main sensor of its rear cameras.
The sensor of the base model is the Sony IMX686, but it is not yet known whether the sensor used in this K30i will be Sony or Samsung. However, if the equipment is sacrificed only on the main sensor, it can be just as interesting. It is good to remember that the equipment has a screen that, despite being LCD, has a refresh rate of 120Hz. In addition, it has the Snapdragon 765G processor that allows it to have 5G.
We must bear in mind that Redmi K30i will be a Chinese version and that, if it exists, the global version will invariably have another name. The price will be one of the most interesting details since it will have to be below the $284 (in China) at which the Redmi K30 is sold.
