As much as MIUI 12 is the highlight of the moment, Xiaomi continues to update some applications and apply a series of improvements in MIUI 11. As we know, the Chinese giant’s proprietary interface is one of the most complete in the Android universe and has a number of proprietary features.
However, the company took a long time to release AOD (Always On Display) mode on its Smartphones. The novelty is available for some models with an OLED screen, and it was only distributed with the MIUI 11 update.
Now, looking to improve the user experience, Xiaomi is preparing a feature that should allow the customization of Always On Display using the MIUI themes app. The improvement was discovered in the latest beta version of the app in China.
Apparently, Xiaomi’s intention is to allow independent developers to customize Always On Display, something that is not currently possible. Thus, the company ends up “easing the pressure” of the MIUI team, since the official solutions are laborious and take time to be released.
Another positive point of the change is that the feature will make MIUI themes even more complete. For those who do not know, they currently modify almost everything in the Chinese cell phone interface. For now, Xiaomi still does not comment on the matter. Therefore, we do not know if the novelty will be released in an update of MIUI 11 or even with MIUI 12.
