At the Snapdragon Summit of 2019, the Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 865 and 765 mobile platforms. Nowadays, we have seen dozens of related mobile phones debut. And today after the 4 months, Qualcomm began to upload part of the source code development information for the Snapdragon 865 (codename Kona) and Snapdragon 765 platform (codename lito).
The conventions have not changed. The source code was first published in the Code Aurora Forum (CAF for short), involving Qualcomm’s modification of the Linux kernel and AOSP framework to support these two chip.
Previously, Qualcomm’s modified Linux kernel, ASOP code, software tools, etc have been distributed to OEM / ODM customers in the form of BSP (board support package). Such as Xiaomi Mi 10, Samsung Galaxy S20, etc. need to rely on BSP for software and hardware debugging optimization.
The release of this batch of source code also means that the third-party ROM for Snapdragon 865 and 765 can be accelerated, such as LieageOS, CM, Magic Fun, etc. In 2019, Qualcomm uploaded the Snapdragon 855 source code in May, and this year is equivalent to one month earlier.
