Today has been the day chosen by Honor to present three new phones considered mid-range and high-end smartphones, the latter rather the last two. Honor has officially announced Honor 30 Series smartphones, including the Honor 30, Honor 30 Pro and Honor 30 Pro +. For now, the devices will be available only in China. But in the coming weeks, they should also arrive in the European market. Let’s examine all the technical specifications of each model.
Honor 30
The “simple” model mounts a 6,33 ″ FHD + (2,400 × 1,080 pixels) OLED edgeless display with an integrated fingerprint scanner. At the rear, there is only one camera embedded in the display through the hole.
Inside we find a HiSilicon Kirin 985 with 5G support with an ARM Mali-G77 MP8 (8 core) GPU. To accompany the CPU and GPU there are as many as 8 or 6GB of RAM (depending on the configuration). No space problems thanks to the 128GB or 256GB internal memory (depends on the configuration).
The camera module is complete, we find 4 sensors in the rear chamber: the main sensor is a 40MP 1 / 1.7 ″ Sony IMX600 RYYB.
Then there is a Wide Angle 8MP, a telephoto DA 8MP with aperture f / 3.4, and optical image stabilization, and finally a sensor for the Macro 2MP. Honor declares an interesting autonomy thanks to the internal 4000mAh battery. Finally, the device supports Honor’s new 40W fast charge.
Honor 30 Pro
Let’s move on to the “intermediate” model: Honor 30 Pro. The Honor device has a “waterfall” display, ie it has curved edges on the sides of the device. The display is a 6.57 ″ 1080p OLED with a 19.5: 9 ratio and an integrated fingerprint scanner under the display.
Unlike the “standard” model, here we find only one configuration that features 8GB of RAM. The memory configuration remains the same as the previous model: 128 or 256GB of storage.
The camera module is similar to Honor 30, we find 4 sensors in the rear chamber: the main sensor is a 40MP 1 / 1.7 ″ Sony IMX600 RYYB. Then there is a Wide Angle 16MP, a telephoto 8MP with aperture f / 3.4, and optical image stabilization, and finally a sensor for the Macro 2MP.
The difference is evident in the front where we find 2 front cameras: the 32MP main camera and an 8MP wide-angle. The battery remains the same as its younger brother. The Honor 30 Pro mounts a 4000mAh battery with 40W fast charge support.
Honor 30 Pro +
We arrive at the top of the range of Honor: Honor 30 Pro +. A long name for a device that promises well. In fact, according to the first online reviews, the device has the same camera as the Huawei P40 Pro.
The same characteristics remain of the Honor 30 Pro model. But here we have a 90 Hz display with 180 Hz sampling rate technology. Finally, there is also wireless charging which on the other two models remains absent. All three versions of the Honor 30 Series run Magic UI 3.1.1 based on Android 10.
