As announced, Redmi has unveiled its first smart bracelet, the Redmi Band. As a somewhat cheaper alternative to the Xiaomi Mi Band. The Redmi Band adds a color screen and a range of up to 14 days.
The new Redmi Band brings with it a renewed somewhat more square design. Which reminds us in part of the early days of Fitbit. Unlike the Xiaomi Mi Band, the new Redmi bracelet has an integrated USB connector that is hidden under the strap itself, which are also not interchangeable.
Its color screen is 1.08 inches and allows us to configure multiple fully customizable aspects. In itself, Redmi has included in its first smart bracelet a total of 72 spheres with a wide variety of designs.
Among the functions of the Redmi Band we find a cardiac monitoring sensor that can be work 24 hours, sleep control, sedentary mode reminder and sports monitoring with recognition of 5 modes: running outdoors, treadmill, walking, cycling and free exercise.
Although the firm has not released its battery capacity. For now, the Redmi Band promises an autonomy of up to 14 days. It is a somewhat smaller figure compared to the Mi Smart Band 4. But that considering its price is quite striking.
Price and availability
The new Redmi Band will go on sale in China on April 9 with a price of only 95 yuan (about $14). Its launch will only be in the Asian market. So for now, its arrival in the global market is not expected. For now, they are the only images we have received from Redmi since apparently. The presentation event is being held privately and with a small number of guests. As they are published we will add them.
