Rumors about new Motorola devices are gaining momentum, mainly due to the proximity of its event that will take place during MWC 2020, and another mysterious smartphone from the manufacturer enters the list of rumors.
According to information found on the Mallu Main website , records were found with the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), the regulatory body for the United States telecommunications area, of a new Motorola model called XT2055-1, codenamed “blackjack”.
According to the website, which cites internal sources linked to Motorola Mobility, this model would be the new member of the Moto Z line, the Moto Z5. In the FCC report, not much concrete information about the device is found, only revealing that the smartphone would have a large 5000mAh battery.
Compared to the previous generation, this would be a considerable leap in the question of autonomy, since the Moto Z4 has “only” 3600mAh, where it is possible to expand the battery using Moto Mods (or Moto Snaps, as the modules that allow adding new features to the device).
Speaking of Moto Mods, if Motorola really comes to launch the Moto Z5, it is expected that the company will maintain the compatibility of the device with the modules already launched in recent years.
For this, the Moto Z5 must still adopt the look of past generations, with a rear having a “manhole”, which will house the cameras, in addition to the connectors for the modules at the bottom. In the end, we may know about the Moto Z5’s existence during Motorola’s conference at Mobile World Congress 2020, which will take place on February 23.
