No more day passes without a new leak concerning the Samsung Galaxy S20. This week we had the right to a first idea of the prices of the three smartphones, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 + and Galaxy S20 Ultra. Today, it is concerning one of the options expected from the smartphone that we have new information.
It is again thanks to journalist Max Weinbach of XDA-Developers, to whom we owe most of the leaks concerning the new flagship of Samsung, that we owe this new information.
According to Max Weinbach, the screens of the Samsung Galaxy S20 are by default limited to 60 Hz in the options. It would therefore probably be necessary to navigate in the settings of One UI to activate the 120 Hz mode and discover the full potential of these screens.
At 120Hz, the screen is updated at 120 frames per second. However, faster refresh speeds mean shorter battery life, which is why Samsung equips new phones with larger capacity batteries. The Galaxy S20 will be equipped with a 4000mAh battery, the Galaxy S20 Plus will be increased to 4500mAh, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra will be powered by 5000mAh battery.
Another pair of phones that are expected to provide 120Hz refresh rates that are OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. The leaked screenshot of the former shows that OnePlus will offer three options on these devices includes 120Hz, 90Hz, and 60Hz. As far as we know, the Galaxy S20 series will only have 60Hz and 120Hz settings.
The Galaxy S20 Ultra has a 6.9-inch dynamic AMOLED display, 12GB of RAM and 128GB / 512GB internal storage. It will also have a “space zoom” function, which is a 100x hybrid zoom using a 48MP periscope telephoto system that provides 10x optical zoom.
The Galaxy S20 has a smaller 6.2-inch display, which is why it has the highest total PPI pixels per inch at 563. The Galaxy S20 + uses a 6.7-inch dynamic AMOLED display. Both phones will have 12GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. Samsung is expected to launch a new flagship on February 11 and it will be released on March 13.
According to some news about Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, it is rumored to support 90 and 180-degree use. At 90 degrees, the bottom of the phone can be used as a stand, while the camera app and video chat app Duo will only use the upper half of the phone.
The Galaxy Z Flip will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 mobile platform and equipped with a 6.7-inch dynamic AMOLED display. It is equipped with a 12MP rear and a 10MP front camera, its battery in the range of 3300mAh-3500mAh. It is rumored that the Galaxy Z Flip has 12GB of RAM and internal storage may be as high as 256GB. Its price is more than $1000 and maybe as low as $800.
