It is a compact 2-in-1 with Windows 10, whose FullHD display measures only 10.1 inches in diagonal. Instead of an Intel Atom x5-Z8350, the new version uses an Intel Celeron N4100 quad-core together with 6 GB of RAM. There is also 128 GB of storage space available internally, whereby expansion via a microSD card should be possible. The metal Chuwi Hi10 X is delivered together with a suitable keyboard cover. Separately, you will also be able to purchase a stylus called Chuwi HiPen 3, with which you can enter with 1024 pressure levels. In this combination, the 2-in-1 should then also be able to work productively, whereby the battery life is approx. 6 hours according to the manufacturer’s information.
The new Chuwi Hi10 X will soon be on sale. Thanks to the Intel Celeron N4100 processor with Gemini Lake N4100 architecture, the new model will significantly improve in performance compared to its predecessor. It will also help the renewed memory sector with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage based on eMMC technology. The new processor is made with a 14 nm production process and is capable of reaching 2.4 GHz of maximum operating frequency. The new model can also easily decode 4K video via hardware, thanks to the ninth generation UHD Graphics 600 GPU. Overall performance has improved by 100% in some areas compared to the previous model which – remember – had the Intel Atom Z8350 processor. Performance that also comes with reduced energy expenditure, however.
According to the information and benchmarks released by the manufacturer, the new model offers a single-thread score of 126.3 points and a multi-thread score of 486.9 points, results of about double the CPU integrated into the previous model which it replaces in the range. Also in the GeekBench 4 test, the Intel Celeron N4100 scores are double that of the Atom Z8350 with a single-core score of 1730, a multi-core score of 5244 and an OpenCL score of 12500.
From the above information, it can be seen that Hi10 X improves a lot in terms of performance, and this allows us to significantly expand the usage scenarios. In addition, the 10.1-inch IPS FHD screen, the dual USB Type-C interface, the all-metal body and other features already appreciated on Hi10, make Hi10X one of the most attractive low-cost tablets for those who want to save.
