A promo video, which looks official, leaked online and confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S20 (previously rumored as S11) will be released on February 11 at an Unpacked event, which will take place in New York or San Francisco.
The clip does not explicitly mention what phone Samsung will reveal on February 11, but the video includes the word “Galaxy” with both ‘a’ replaced with blocks, possibly hinting at two launches. The first block, according to Max Weinbach of XDA, resembles a camera bulge on the Galaxy S20 Ultra, while the second block may reveal Galaxy Fold 2.
Previously, in November last year, a report claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S20 would be launched on February 11. Samsung hasn’t officially announced the February 11 Unpacked event, but now that the teaser has leaked, it shouldn’t be too long before the Korean giant confirms the event with time and location.
Among them, the Galaxy S20 will use a 6.2-inch AMOLED display, triple rear cameras with a 100MP main lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens, a periscope telephoto lens (supporting 5x optical zoom). The Galaxy S20 + is upgraded to a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, the processor remains the same, the rear is upgraded to four cameras with a ToF lens which provides more accurate depth information for AR applications and more natural depth of field capture of portraits. In addition, the Galaxy S20 + battery has a larger capacity, reaching 4500mmAh.
The Galaxy S20 Ultra will be a new top flagship of the brand, it is rumored to use a 6.9-inch AMOLED display. It has almost the same core equipment as the Galaxy S20 +. There is an extra telephoto lens in the rear, which can provide 50x hybrid zoom and 100x digital zoom. Its battery capacity will further increase 5000mAh.
As for the Galaxy Fold 2, it is reported that the phone will use a 6.7-inch display, supporting horizontal folding, reducing the size by half.
