The rumors had already advanced us, but now it is basically a reality: the Samsung Galaxy S11 will be the first mobile of the brand capable of recording 8K video. This has been confirmed exclusively by the people of SamMobile, who claims to have obtained information from a source close to the company.
Samsung had long since dropped the possibility of introducing this feature, introducing the Exynos 990 processor that will give life to the S11 series, and that among its capabilities is to process video recording at such resolution. In addition, the camera app edition introduced in the fourth beta version of One UI 2.0 already showed signs of this feature in its code.
But the Galaxy S11 will not be the first to allow 8K video capture. One of the first phones to incorporate this function was the Nubia Z20, capable of recording video clips at this same resolution, and at a frame rate of 15 FPS. In the case of the Samsung model, this rate is expected to increase to 30 FPS.
With an iPhone 11 Pro that has raised the level to the point of becoming the best mobile to record video on the market and a Pixel 4 that has disappointed in this regard, Samsung has a new opportunity to renew the most recommended Android smartphone crown for video recording with your new Galaxy S11. And the truth is that South Korean does not seem to intend to miss this situation.
The 8K recording of the Galaxy S11 will be possible thanks to the capabilities of the Exynos 990 already mentioned. In addition, Samsung will rely on the main sensor of 108MP of resolution that will lead the photographic system of its new phones. In addition, the optical image stabilizer will not be missing to allow vibration-free videos, and thanks to the existence of a “telephoto” sensor and a “super wide-angle” , the versatility of the cameras when recording video would be located at height of the latest Apple model.
At this point, when about three months until the presentation of the device, we already know other details of the Galaxy S11 series models, including the designs of the Galaxy S11, S11e, and S11 + models. The new Korean terminal is also expected to be the first of the brand to adopt a screen with a high refresh rate, and it is expected that among its different configurations we will find variants with up to 1TB of internal storage.
