He said that the 5G phone era is facing huge opportunities and challenges. At present, the global smartphone industry is declining, but in 2020, the 5G phones will drive the wave of change, and the global smartphone industry will return to growth.
He also revealed that Xiaomi is building a future factory in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone which was officially completed in December. There we will mainly develope and produce the flagship Smartphone of the company.
It is reported that the first phase of the plant has an annual production capacity of 1 million units. The plant will use large-scale automated production lines, 5G networks, big data and other technologies to significantly increase production efficiency and automatically produce 60 smartphones per minute, which is more than 60% higher than traditional factories.
Earlier, at the Xiaomi Developers Conference Lei Jun has said that the company will release at least 10 5G Smartphones in 2010 to fully promote the development and promotion of 5G supported phones. In addition, He predicted that Redmi K30 will be released in December with SA, NSA 5G dual-module network support.
Previously, Xiaomi has launched the 5G+AIoT strategy. In addition to 5G phones, it will also vigorously develop the development of AIOT devices. At present, the IoT platform of Xiaomi has connected 196 million devices, and the number of users of five IoT devices exceeds 3 million.
