Recently CEO of Xiaomi has revealed the launch time of Redmi K30 5G phones. It is known that this will be a 5G phone in the low-end segment and support dual-mode 5G, the device will officially be released in December. In addition to revealing the launch time of the Redmi K30 in December, Jun has not shared any further information about its specifications.
Meanwhile, it’s interesting that Redmi CEO Lu Weibing recently revealed through a Weibo post that the Redmi K30 will debut next year. He also emphasized that at the end of 2018, Xiaomi clearly defined its development strategy for the next 5 years, which is 5G+AIOT.
Therefore, it is very likely that the Redmi K30 Pro will be launched in December, a higher-end variant of the Redmi K30 Pro will be released in early 2020. Not only the launch time is revealed, the price of the phone well leaked. At the recently held China Mobile Global Partners Conference, Jun announced that all Xiaomi phones priced at more than 2,000 Yuan will receive 5G support.
He also revealed that the company will launch at least 10 5G phones by 2020. The Chinese company will launch affordable 5G phones in the first half of next year. Meanwhile, the Redmi K30 will be the first Xiaomi phone to support independent 5G (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) dual modes.
This model will own a perforated screen design with the dual front-facing camera setup. Therefore, the Redmi K30 will become the first phone of the company equipped with a punched display. In addition to some photos also have leaked of a man holding a mysterious phone with an elliptical cut for the dual selfie camera that has recently appeared on Weibo.
It is for the Redmi K30 phone, but the specs have not been revealed yet. Redmi K30 is expected to be equipped with MediaTek 5G chipset. However, there is a possibility that the company could use Qualcomm 5G chipsets instead.
Because Qualcomm has now announced the first dual 5G SoC version through the Weibo post, Redmi has reposted it and announced that Redmi will launch the first series of products that own this chipset. This suggests that the Redmi K30 5G could be powered by the Snapdragon 735 5G chipset, as previously reported.
