With the Galaxy A50, Samsung had a huge smartphone hit this year. That the device gets a successor is therefore only logical, and we already know a lot about the Galaxy A51. Earlier this week we even saw the first images, including the quad-camera module and 3.5 mm headphone jack. However, until now we assumed that Samsung would not launch the Galaxy A51 until after the Galaxy S11 – late February. But the phone may appear earlier than expected.
On Samsung’s own website you can already find the first support pages for the device with model code SM-A515F. Although we don’t get to know anything new there, such pages don’t usually appear months before the launch. So it could just be that Samsung will announce the Galaxy A51 before the end of the year.
Moreover, we know that the Galaxy A51 will soon be available on the market with Android 10. Until now this has always been a hint that a device will only be launched after the next top model. Possibly there will be a change in this ‘tradition’ now, with an early launch and release of the Galaxy A51.
Incidentally, it is of course not inconceivable that Samsung will launch the A51 early, but will not release it until March. We saw a similar, long ‘waiting period’ last year at the Galaxy A80, for example.
Recall, the Galaxy A51 will be the successor to the Galaxy A50. The device will receive a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a cutout in the center for a selfie camera, like the Galaxy Note 10. It is also credited with a sub-screen scanner, a branded eight-core Exynos 9611 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, the latest version of Android 10 OS, a 4000mAh battery, as well as the main camera with four sensors and a 48MP main module.
