Today, Samsung‘s official Twitter account has shown a short video of a new SoC. Therefore, we can only assume that an announcement is scheduled for tomorrow. The loaded clip does not betray any detail, but the silicon will apparently be very focused on artificial intelligence. Since the manufacturer presented its latest flagship chipset, the Exynos 9825, in August, it is likely that the announcement does not belong to the rumored Exynos 9830, or so we believe.
An informant had said in August that Samsung is preparing the Exynos 9610. This chipset and its various versions with different clock speeds will boost mid-range smartphones such as the Galaxy A50. There is also a hypothetical Exynos 9630. This report states that the SoC next year will come and it could be that Samsung announces it tomorrow, but the phones backed by it would not be sent until 2020.
Like its predecessor, the Exynos 9630 will supposedly be a mid-level chipset and will power the next Series A terminals such as the rumored Galaxy A51 and the Galaxy A71. It is also possible for Samsung to talk about a possible custom GPU solution. AMD and Samsung entered into a partnership to implement the Radeon GPU in Samsung SoCs. We’ll see if any of that is what they show. We will keep you informed.
So, whatever is going to be introduced here, it is likely to be announced tomorrow at Samsung Tech Day 2019. The event is scheduled to take place at 10:00 in San Francisco.
