According to a recent report from reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple seems to be planning to release an “iPhone SE 2” at an attractive price in the first quarter of next year.
A few days ago, a set of iPhone SE 2 renderings was exposed online. As can be seen from the images, the new phone does not use the full-screen design, still retains the appearance style of the iPhone 8, the classic Touch ID has also been extended while the camera is raised on the back, due to cost constraints, it has only single camera.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is currently in the process of developing iPhone SE 2 with a combination of two elements, borrowing the design of iPhone 8 with using iPhone 11 hardware.
This design means that the iPhone SE 2 will use a 4.7-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1334 x 750p, the border is still thick, not thin or any other notch design. The home button with Touch ID remains the same as on the iPhone 8, without Face ID.
The aluminum frame and glass back are similar to the iPhone 8, which is said to retain the Lightning connector, not the USB-C port. However, the internal configuration is quite strong when using Apple A13 Bionic chip like on the iPhone 11 series, expected capacity of 3GB RAM.
Kuo analyst revealed that Apple is planning to introduce iPhone SE 2 in the first quarter of 2020. It is possible that its price will be maintained at the current $449 of the iPhone 8 or the price is lower than $399. Predicting Apple will sell 30 to 40 million iPhone SE 2 throughout 2020, this means that the device will be Apple’s best seller.
