At first, Huawei‘s new top-of-the-line mobile phones were launched in China, but sales have recently begun in Malaysia, and now, handsets have emerged in Europe, not far from us.
The Romanian QuickMobile website is already selling the novelties at slightly lower prices than previously expected. The prices are quite attractive for this class of devices. Huawei Mate 30 version with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory has been priced at 3599 Lei ($832). The same phone with 8GB of operational memory costs 3799 Lei ($878).
Customers may also be interested in Huawei Mate 30 Pro, available only in versions with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal memory. For this model in Romania, you have to pay 4999 ($1156). In turn, the variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal memory is the cost of 5499 Lei ($1271).
The phone dealership promises a 7-day shipment, but it is not yet known how official it is (probably not). And of course, the Play Store is not on mobile and it is not easy to install, as the simpler method was removed and posed a serious security risk anyway.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro hides the four cameras around the unit on the back. It combines a 40MP, 4-in-1-pixel main sensor, a new 40MP wide-angle camera, an 8MP three-zoom telephoto lens, and a dedicated Time-of-Flight optics. These are complemented by a xenon flash on the backside, a 32MP front panel and a wide-angle secondary selfie camera on the front. The latter two are included in the wide notch of the Mate 30 Pro as part of a face recognition system similar to FaceID.
The front panel of the Mate 30 Pro is a 6.8-inch diagonal panel that has a two-sided edge solution. We know nothing about the refresh rate, but the resolution is 2400 × 1176 pixels. In the Mate 30 Pro, the Kirin 990 5G chipset works with multiple RAM / ROM combinations, with the most powerful 8GB of RAM and expandable storage.
The Mate 30 Pro comes with Android 10, the EMUI 10 interface, but without Google services. The 4500mAh battery is recharged instantly with 40W SuperCharge or 27W Super Wireless Charge technology, and the on-screen fingerprint reader delivers security.
The Huawei Mate 30 get a rear-facing camera setup, but the sensors’ resolution is logically lower for a much more solid price. On the front, the notch is much smaller than the Pro, with two selfie optics, but the 3D face recognition is missing from the repertoire. In addition to the Kirin 990 5G processor, 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will be the default for the Mate 30, Android 10 and EMUI 10 are the default, but unfortunately, users will not get Google from the factory.
