Last month we saw a speed test at which the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ beat the iPhone XS Max. However, this was no surprise, as the iPhone XS Max is a year older. Today, YouTuber PhoneBuff conducted a test comparing the speed and multitasking capability between the two most advanced Samsung and Apple flagships at the present time: Galaxy Note 10+ with iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Accordingly, in our latest test, PhoneBuff uses a Galaxy Note 10+ with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of internal memory and runs Android 9 Pie. The iPhone 11 Pro Max has just been launched by Apple with the Apple A13 Bionic chip, 4GB of RAM, 256GB of internal memory and iOS 13.1.
The test was performed with 16 simultaneous openings of selected apps and games in order from top to bottom to measure app opening performance on Galaxy Note 10+ and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The applications are then opened in order from bottom to top to test the ability to multitask.
The results show that the iPhone 11 Pro Max is constantly faster than the Galaxy Note 10+ in the ability to open applications. In the end, the iPhone 11 Pro Max finished the first part in just 1 minute and 48 seconds, while the Galaxy Note 10+ took 1 minute and 58 seconds.
However, with three times the advantage of RAM, the Galaxy Note 10+ easily wins against its opponent in the multitasking competition. Specifically, Samsung’s latest flagship model completed this round in just 33 seconds, while this figure on the iPhone 11 Pro Max amounted to more than 49 seconds.
