UMIDIGI today launched its latest budget flagship smartphone UMIDIGI F2, the successor of the company’s hot-selling UMIDIGI F1. The UMIDIGI F2 includes professional-grade 48MP quad rear camera, the same 32MP selfie camera as Huawei’s new premium flagship HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro, 5150mAh battery as well as the latest stock Android 10, which makes the F2 a stunning performer in mid-range smartphones.
The UMIDIGI F2 comes in 2 colors: Phantom Blue and Midnight Black. Following the industry trends, there’s a curved texture on the back cover when the light hits on it. And thanks to the side-mounted fingerprint sensor, the back cover looks clean and more consistent. You can use 2 SIM cards and Micro-SD card (up to additional 256GB) at the same time due to the triple card slots design.
If you’re a fan of notchless and bezel-less design, the UMIDIGI F2 is one of your best choices. The F2 comes with a punch-hole 6.53-inch FHD+ (1080×2340 pixels) display. The hole which houses the 32MP selfie camera is just 4.5mm small and it doesn’t distract at all. The 6.53-inch big display paired with little bezel definitely gives you a more expansive visual experience.
With 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB of UFS 2.1 flash storage, and powered by AI Master MediaTek Helio P70 processor, the UMIDIGI F2 is the most powerful smartphone ever of UMIDIGI. The faster UFS 2.1 flash storage was only available in the premium flagship smartphones and now UMIDIGI brings it to the budget segment. Additionally, the F2 packs a 5,150mAh big battery with 18W fast charge support.
The biggest difference between the UMIDIGI F2 and the previous F1 is the camera, both front, and rear. First and foremost the obvious quad rear camera setup. The UMIDIGI F2 comes with a quad rear camera setup comprised of a 48MP main Camera, 13MP ultra wide-angle camera, 5MP macro camera, and 5MP depth-sensing Camera. Besides common camera features, it offers new night mode to capture better images in low light conditions, ultra-wide mode to snap more in one single shot and macro mode to capture the up-close beauty.
Next comes the front camera. The UMIDIGI F2 comes with an industry-leading 32MP selfie camera, which is assumed to be the same flagship sensor found in the newly launched Huawei Mate 30 Pro, the Samsung GD1. It can combine four pixels into one larger pixel for brighter and clearer selfies. In addition to that, the F2 users can also use AI beautify to enhance your facial features.
Google just introduced the newest Android 10. As one of the few smartphones to get the new great system, the UMIDIGI F2 is the first Android 10 smartphone that features the 48 quad rear cameras. Additionally, the F2 is the first UMIDIGI that supports ‘OK Google’ on the locked screen, and you can activate your Google assistant more conveniently. And the phone also supports multi-function NFC and global bands as well as dual 4G LTE.
The UMIDIGI F2 global sale will start on October 14 on AliExpress. The price is yet to be known but the price tag is expected under US$300 since the previous UMIDIGI F1 is around US$200.
