Oppo– supported budget smartphone maker Realme confirmed that the Realme X2 smartphone will be introduced at an event on September 24th. The phone is expected to be a rebranded version of Realme XT, which has just been launched in India, but this is not the case.
Instead, the Realme X2 looks like a branded version of the Realme XT 730G. Now, just a day before the official launch of the X2 smartphone, Realme’s Marketing Manager, Xu Qi Chase, explained the key features of the device.
He said that the new smartphone will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset and will receive 6GB of RAM such as LPDDR4X and a built-in 64GB UFS 2.1 format drive. It also boasts a 32MP front and 64MP main cameras. Autonomous operation of the new smartphone will provide a 4000mAh battery with support for VOOC 4.0 fast charging technology with a power of 30 watts. Also, a top manager at Realme announced the availability of NFC support.
It was previously reported that the Realme X2 will be equipped with the same 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full HD + resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9, like the Realme XT. The display will occupy 91.9% of the front panel. In addition, Realme X2 will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
As for the main camera, it will be a combination of the Samsung GW1 64MP camera, an 8MP sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
The Realme X2 will work under the control of the mobile operating system Android 9 Pie with the ColorOS shell installed on top. Despite the fact that the marketing director of Realme talked only about the version with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, sources also talk about the model with 8GB of RAM and a 128GB internal memory.
