Sharp, apparently, is going to release a new smartphone as part of its Aquos line. The phone, which will most likely be called Aquos V, will work on the basis of the Snapdragon 835, the very one on which the flagships were produced back in 2017.
According to DealnTech, the new phone has received Bluetooth certification and has also been certified by Taiwan’s NCC. The NCC document indicates the SH-C02 phone model number. It also includes an image that shows the rear design of the phone.
According to the sketch, the rear will have a dual main camera in a vertical orientation, a flash, and a fingerprint scanner. At the lower end, Japanese engineers will take out a USB port and an output for an external speaker, and on the upper edge, there will be a 3.5 mm headphone jack. This includes a label that reveals what is called the Sharp Aquos V.
The design of the front panel is unknown, but it can be assumed that the smartphone will receive a wide cutout for the earpiece and front camera. It is possible that Aquos V will have two cutouts at once. Such a Japanese manufacturer has practiced before.
The Geekbench listing reveals more details of the phone that was reviewed in June. The Aquos V will run Android 9 Pie and have 4GB of RAM. The Sharp phone has received a single-core score of 1911, while its multi-core score comes at 6564, as per the Geekbench listing. The Bluetooth SIG certificate says you will have Bluetooth 5.0.
There are unconfirmed reports that it will have an FHD + screen (screen type and unknown size), 64GB of storage, 13MP dual rear cameras, and a 3120mAh battery. Sharp has scheduled to announce the Aquos R3 flagship in Taiwan on August 16, there is a possibility that the Aquos V will also be announced on Friday.
