Last time, we have seen a lot of leaked information about the upcoming Mate 30 product line of Huawei. Today, the latest leak has just shared information regarding the configuration and launch date of the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro duo.
Specifically, the Russian portal Hi-tech Mail.ru has reportedly received information directly from the President of Huawei Consumer Business Software, about the launch date of the Huawei Mate 30 series. According to him, the Mate 30 Pro will be unveiled in Europe on September 19 and will be powered by the unreleased Kirin 990.
There is more and more talk of Huawei Mate 30, but the exact launch date has not been discussed so far. If this date turns out to be correct, this year Huawei will introduce the Mate 30 a month earlier than its predecessor last year.
What casts this cloud of doubt is not only the current situation with the Americans but also the fact that it will be powered by the Kirin 990, which has not been discussed until now.
Huawei’s new chip, whatever it may be called, should be based on the new 7nm EUV technological process from Taiwanese chipmaker TSMC. Marketing will reportedly introduce it as 7nm +. This EUV process (Extreme ultraviolet lithography) allows for a 20% higher transistor density, which in turn should result in even better energy efficiency.
The new Kirin will also reportedly integrate the 5G modem, and the Mate 30 Pro is said to have a 6.7 ″ 90Hz AMOLED display from BOE. It will carry a circular quad camera with two 40MP sensors on its back, and a strong 55W fast-charging battery under the hood.
Wang Chenglu was reportedly discovered by another important curiosity. According to him, the Mate 30, though based on EMUI 10 and Android Q, will not have Google Play services pre-installed. Without them, I don’t know how much this attack on Europe would have had.
I would certainly receive this information with a good dose of salt, but I believe more will be known soon.
