There are still several hours until Samsung Unpacked begins in New York, United States, but that did not stop Samsung from starting with surprises. While everyone was resting to face today and what Samsung Unpacked brought him, Samsung announces the Exynos 9825, its new premium processor.
While the Samsung Exynos 9820 was manufactured with 8nm process technology and everyone speculated that it could not compete with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 7nm and, therefore, the Galaxy Note 10 would have to opt for the American processor, Samsung decided to put Last day.
But in addition to its 7nm process technology achieved with extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV), what is inside the Samsung Exynos 9825 that makes it so special? Its internal structure consists of eight cores: four Cortex-A55 cores, two Cortex-A75 cores and two custom cores whose specifications were not yet detailed.
The graphics processor that accompanies the Samsung Exynos 9825 is the ARM Mali-G76 MP12 but this is not the only piece with dedicated work in this new SoC.
The Exynos 9825 also brings with it a network processing unit (NPU) to optimize its operation with machine learning techniques and improve its work with technologies of augmented reality, virtual reality and all kinds of functions that involve artificial intelligence.
Samsung announces the Exynos 9825 with support for LPDDRX4 RAM, UFS 3.0 and 2.1 storage chips, download speeds of up to 2Gbps, upload speeds of up to 316Mbps and supports 4K UHD screen resolutions (4096 x 2160 pixels) and WQUXGA (3840 x 2400 pixels).
In the case of the lenses, those mobile devices with an Exynos 9825 onboard will have support for front cameras with main sensors of up to 22MP, a dorsal camera with main sensors of the same pixel or dual cameras with two 16MP sensors.
And here is the highlight of the Exynos 9825: with this processor, we can shoot videos in 8K quality at speeds of up to 30fps or videos in 4K quality at speeds of up to 150fps. These could well be the stellar characteristics of the coming Samsung flagships: the Galaxy Note of the tenth generation.
Of course, there is nothing confirmed, not even the smartphones where this chip will debut. But it is especially curious that the Exynos 9825 debuts hours before the announcement of the Galaxy Note 10 with 7nm process technology, all these opulent features and does not end up debuting on such stellar smartphones.
