Already seen recently here with some confirmations made by the brand itself, the Vivo Z5 was made official today by the manufacturer in the Chinese market.
Featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chipset and 4 options for combining RAM and internal storage, the new smartphone stands out for its well-known look of drop-shaped notch screen and a set of triple cameras, the main one being 48MP. But before continuing, let’s review all its specifications in the technical datasheet.
The Vivo Z5 lands with a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display and FullHD + resolution (1080 x 2340 pixels). The phone stretches the screen well without hardly presenting side frames, although the same does not occur in the lower area where a pronounced chin does appear.
With a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio and a 90% use of the front panel according to the manufacturer’s data, it arrives with a notch to shelter the front camera instead of the screen hole that we have already seen in some devices of the brand such as Vivo Z5x or Vivo Z1 Pro.
If we turn it around, we find a classic design: a vertical module in the upper left area where the three lenses and the LED flash are located, in addition to the brand logo in the lower area.
In the photographic section, the triple rear camera stands out, with a 48MP main sensor with f / 1.79 aperture, next to an 8MP lens with 120 degrees and f / 2.2 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f aperture /2.4. For its part, the 32MP front camera with f / 2.0 aperture is intended for selfies.
The brain of the Vivo Z5 is the Snapdragon 712 processor, a mid-range chip with Adreno 616 GPU that offers greater speed and fast loading compared to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 710 with which in fact it shares many similarities. The phone has different RAM options, with 6 or 8GB and three storage, with 64, 128 or 256GB.
The phone also has Vivo multi-turbo mode to improve overall device performance. As for the battery, it is 4500mAh and arrives with Vivo Flash Charge of 22.5W and reverse charging.
For its part, the fingerprint sensor is located under the screen and runs FunTouchOS 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie. Among the rest of its features, facial recognition, the headphone jack, USB-C port or the integrated Jovi digital assistant stand out.
The Vivo Z5 will be on sale in China from August 6th and it will hit the market in 3 gradient colors: Aurora Illusion (blue-purple) Bamboo Night Forest (black-green) and Holographic Illusion (light blue).
The different versions of Vivo Z5 were priced as follows: for the version with 6/64GB of memory, you have to pay $232, for the model with 6/128 GB – $275, with 6/256 GB – $290, and the version with 8/128GB of memory costs $334.
