If the leaked schedule of wearables and tablets from Samsung is correct, it seems that a new version of Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch 2, should be on the way in the second half. And that theory gained momentum thanks to a leaked rendering on the Android Headlines portal.
A filtered image that Android Headlines shows us exclusively, allows you to take a first look at the new Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 which could be presented in August during Unpacked 2019 of the second half of the year, in which Samsung will officially present the new Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus.
As you can see in the image, the design of this second generation of Watch Active will not be very different from the first. We return to find a minimalist appearance, with a metal box that is rounded on the sides to merge with the screen, slightly curved at the ends.
Yes, we see a clear difference, as it is the new leather strap, which makes the watch stand out from the purely sporty essence of the first edition, as it is only sold with a silicone strap. The color is also new, and although this type of press renders are not usually accurate in terms of actual colors, we do see how the lower button of the watch has a detail in red that is not present in the version original of the Galaxy Watch Active, and that probably refers to the model that we see is the version with LTE.
Other details that we know about this second generation of the Galaxy Watch Active are the inclusion of an electrocardiogram system, as well as the ability to detect falls. Two functions that until now only the Apple Watch Series 4 integrated, and that therefore were not available for Android users.
The rumors also suggest that Samsung, for the first time, would introduce two different size variants of this model, with 40 and 44mm respectively, and a 340mAh capacity battery in the largest model.
