Yesterday, one of the prominent insiders, Roland Quandt, on his Twitter page spoke about the new flagship platform from Qualcomm. According to the tipster, the Snapdragon 865 will be released under the code name SM8250, according to the code name SM8150 of Snapdragon 855 earlier.

With the 5G mobile network in the early stages of development, Qualcomm will launch a Snapdragon 865 with two versions, including a version that supports 5G network with an integrated 5G mobile modem, and one without modem 5G integrated and will only support 4G LTE bandwidth available. These two versions will have their own code name, Kona and Huracan, and it is unclear which code name is the 5G version.
The 5G Modem integrated with the Snapdragon 865 is called Qualcomm Snapdragon X55, which is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon X50 modem currently on the Snapdragon 855. The new Snapdragon 865 chip will also support LPDDR5X and UFS 3.0 RAM technology. Similar to the predecessor generation.
