Along with the K20 Pro, we find another phone in this presentation event of the Chinese brand. This is the Redmi K20, a model that for many weeks we have thought was it’s high-end, although it is finally its model for the premium mid-range. Something we knew very recently. This phone has many aspects in common with the Pro model that the Chinese brand has presented at this event.
The design is the same in this case. Therefore, this Redmi K20 arrives with a sliding front camera, a screen with hardly any frames and also has three rear cameras. One of the main differences is the use of the processor in the phone. But the changes are few between the two.
On a technical level, The Redmi K20 has the new Snapdragon 730 from Qualcomm, which is a powerful premium midline chip, working with 6GB RAM + 64GB and 6GB RAM + 128GB. On the screen, we find a 6.39-inch AMOLED (FullHD + 19.5: 9, 2340 x 1080 pixels), with an integrated digital player and 600 nits of brightness.
In cameras, we found a set of three sensors with 48MP (Sony IMX586, f / 1.75) + 13MP (super wide angle, f / 2.4) + 8MP (optical zoom 2x, f / 2.4). In the front camera, a 20MP sensor bokeh effect by software with the help of Artificial Intelligence inserted in the MIUI 10 that covers the Android 9 pie.
The Redmi K20 has a 4,000 mAh battery, with a fast charge of 18W (equivalent to Quick Charge 3.0), and the model has NFC chip for mobile payments, dual GPS, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 and headphone jack.
The device is going to launch in three colors to stores: pink, blue and black. While we have two combinations, they differ by the amount of storage. The prices of these two versions of Redmi K20 in China have already been revealed.
The Redmi K20 is available in 6GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB versions. Among them, the 6GB+64GB version is priced at 1999 yuan, and the 6GB+128GB version is priced at 2099 yuan. In the global market, models will be introduced as Xiaomi Mi 9T and Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro. Details of global version pricing and availability will be announced later.
