Today, Honor presented in London its new Honor 20 and 20 Pro smartphones which are totally focused on quality, design and photographic section. The brand seeks to highlight its products by design and colors, especially by attracting the attention of younger users who seek a more striking and carefree aesthetic. The new Honor comes in black, blue, green and purple, these being the last 2 exclusives for the Honor 20 Pro.
Honor 20 Pro
The Pro variant of the new Honor 20 costs 599 euros (about $66) and is characterized by a screen of 6.26 inches, without the notch, with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels, which occupies most of the front. The front camera is integrated directly on the screen. The coating is made of glass, curved in the back, with the colors Phantom Black (black) and Phantom Blue (blue). The fingerprint reader is placed on the side and you can also unlock the system with facial recognition.
It includes the Kirin 980 processor, combined with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage space. Much emphasis was placed on the photographic sector, which observes the presence of a 32MP front sensor assisted by known software functions, including a 3D portrait mode.
On the back panel there are four cameras: the main one of 48MP with optical image stabilizer; the secondary of 16MP of wide angle and the telephoto of 8MP with optical zoom 3X, hybrid 5X, and digital zoom 30X. Finally, the fourth 2MP sensor is dedicated to macros, with a focus of up to 4cm.
The video recording is compatible with a maximum resolution of 4K at 30 frames per second, with electronic stabilization that avoids blinking scenes when recording in motion.
The operating system is Android 9, obviously with an option to upgrade to Android Q when it launches. The battery benefits from a fast charge of 22W, with a dedicated charger included in the package. On the connectivity front, you have everything you need: Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB-C port.
Honor 20:
The standard version of the new Honor smartphone comes with the same processor as the Pro model, but with 6GB RAM instead of 8GB and offers a storage space of 128GB instead of 256GB. The 6.26-inch screen is identical with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels, which occupies 91.6% of the front surface. Also in this case, the front camera is integrated directly on the screen, with a similar sensor of 32MP and the same software features of the 20 Pro.
It changes slightly the photographic equipment of the rear block: the sensors are always four, the main one is always 48MP and the second one is always a wide angle of 16MP. The third sensor, however, in this case, is 2MP for bokeh effects (the blurred background), which replaces the telephoto lens of the Pro model. The fourth sensor for macros is identical.
The similarities continue with the operating system, fast charging, and connectivity, while there are differences in the capacity of the battery, which is lower than that of the Pro model, and in the price, which in this case is 499 euros (equal to $556) a 100 euros (about $111) Less than the Pro version.
