Xiaomi not have only the flagship phone codenamed “Hercules” on the road, they have 3 others Snapdragon 7xx equipped Smartphones that will be on the scene. Recently, XDA editor @Mishaal Rahman has disclosed on Twitter that the 3 new phones of Xiaomi with codenamed “Bamboo_sprout” and “Cosmos_sprout” and “Pyxis” will be equipped with Snapdragon 7XX chip-sets, one of which is almost determined to be the Snapdragon 710/712 SoC.
By convention, the suffix of “sprout” usually appears in Android One phone of Xiaomi, so it is speculated that Bamboo_sprout” and “Cosmos_sprout” may be Mi A3 series models that Xiaomi is developing. As for the Xiaomi new codenamed “Pyxis” In the past, XDA speculated that it might be the Chinese version of Bamboo_sprout or Cosmos_sprout. In addition, considering that Mi 5X and Mi 6X are the Chinese versions of the previously launched Android One Smartphones Mi-One and Mi A2, They also expected this “Pyxis”. “It is very likely that it is a new gene of Xiaomi Mi 6X.”
As the members of the Xiaomi Mi 8 series are now large enough, plus the previous gene products, if the new phone codenamed Pyxis is indeed the replacement of Mi 6X, it will be in the name of Mi 9X in the future. In other words, the legendary Mi 9X is not equipped with the Snapdragon 675 processor as it was speculated in the past but upgraded to the Snapdragon 7XX processor.
Previously, XDA disclosed that these 3 devices are testing the In-screen fingerprint unlock function, so it means these all phones may still be unlocked by optical screen fingerprint technology. At the same time, these are equipped with a 32MP front camera and it seems to have the remote control.
Of course, the news about Xiaomi Mi 9X is based on the information revealed by the exposure, but since the Indian head of Xiaomi @Manu Kumar Jain has already revealed on Twitter, he said Snapdragon 7xx series SoC equipped Smartphones will soon come to India, so it is expected that the Mi A3 series will meet with us in the middle and late May. As for the Chinese version of Xiaomi Mi 9X, the possibility to release in June is not ruled out.
