Only yesterday we showed you a photo in which Redmi X was made clear what, in theory, should be the next smartphone of the Chinese company. Now its date of launch has also been exposed.
A leaked post on Weibo has revealed that Redmi X will be launched on May 14. Keep in mind it is currently being launched in the Chinese market. Hopefully, this can soon be launched in other markets. The question is whether it will be brought to India.
So no information is available in this context at this time. Although the discussion is such that Redmi X can be launched in India as Poco F2. This can be considered because it is being claimed that Redmi X will be the cheapest smartphone with Snapdragon 855 processor.
But a few hours ago an interesting post arrived on Weibo by Lu Weibing, Redmi’s number one, which flatly denied the name given to the smartphone: “It won’t be called Redmi X, there will be a better name …”. In short, given that this name stood out in the poster of which we spoke earlier, it is natural to question the real reliability of the image in question.
In the last hours, among other things, the possibility is discussed that in reality the Redmi with Snapdragon 855 on board is destined to go further and that the smartphone in the process of being made official is a sort of “Lite” version, with a board a Snapdragon 730.
This smartphone will be called upon to compete with Realme X and will do so with the help of an AMOLED display with an integrated fingerprint sensor, 4000mAh battery, and triple rear camera 48MP + 8MP + 13MP. Same configuration as the future Redmi with Snapdragon 855 which, in turn, will have a 6.39-inch AMOLED, a 32MP selfie-cam and up to 8GB of RAM.
