At the Global Sources Hong Kong Sourcing Fair held in Hong Kong, China, the Chinese ODM manufacturer launched the Chuwi Minibook (iLife NG08). This mini device can be placed in the pocket and equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1920*1200 and an aspect ratio of 16:10. In addition, the screen uses single-layer laminated glass (OGS) technology for improved brightness, visibility and touch sensitivity.
The left side of the notebook has a 2-megapixel webcam with a large screen border. The keyboard’s button separation is relatively spacious. There are also several function buttons and a power button with a fingerprint sensor.
The device can be rotated 360 degrees, meaning it can be used in tablet mode. Built-in 3500mAh (7.4V) capacity battery, able to continue video playback for 4 hours. Because of the low power consumption, the processor does not overheat, and the inside of the device also uses a cooling system.
On the port side, the Chuwi Minibook offers a 3.5mm headphone port, a USB 2.0 and a USB 3.0 port, and a USB Type-C port for charging, a micro SD card slot, mini HDMI and 2 speakers… Support Bluetooth, WiFi, and 4G LTE network connection.
The Chuwi Minibook runs the full version of the 10 system. Equipped with Intel Gemini Lake processor in internal specifications: Intel Celeron N4100 / N4000 (up to 2.40GHz / 2.60Ghz), integrated Intel ninth generation GPU (up to 650MHz), 4 / 8GB LPDDR3 RAM memory and 64/128 GB memory eMMC Can be expanded through the M.2 slot.
As the information comes from ODM iLife, it is not even certain that Chuwi will come out with this so-called Minibook.
