Knowing that Xiaomi will introduce a new entry model in the Indian market soon after two teasers have been released by the brand. Concepts show a similar design compared to the Redmi 7, but the Redmi Y3, which should be the model to be announced, is supposed to feature a 32MP front camera.
As per the Geekbench listing, the Xiaomi Redmi Y3 will be powered by the “msm8953” motherboard, pointing towards a Snapdragon 625 chipset. However, MySmartPrice believes the processor identifier for the test device suggests the smartphone will actually come with a Snapdragon 632 chipset. The novelty will be clubbed with 3GB of RAM and the device was running Android 9 Pie during the time of running the benchmark.
The smartphone achieved a single-core score of 1236 and a multi-core score of 4213. These scores are more or less equal to what the Redmi 7 achieved with the same SoC. Considering the older processor, the Redmi Y3 will likely to come with an affordable starting price.
Recently, Redmi Y3 has appeared in the new video teaser with the color changing back design and the capacity of 4000mAh battery, much higher than the 3080mAh battery of Redmi Y2 (Redmi S2).
It is expected that Redmi Y3 will be equipped with a 32MP selfie camera – this information was left open on Twitter by Xiaomi India CEO, Manu Kumar Jain. Thus, we only have to wait until April 24, Wednesday, when it will be officially marked by the brand, so we can confirm these details all.
