Today, On March 18th, the Redmi Spring Festival new product launch conference was officially ushered in. This is the second press conference since the establishment of the Redmi brand. Today’s 2 protagonists are of course the new Smartphones Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi 7.
Although the Xiaomi Note 7 Pro has been released in India as early as this time, now it was released again, and the attention of netizens is still enough. First of all, Redmi Note 7 Pro can also be seen as an upgraded version of Note 7, so it has also been greatly upgraded in many configurations.
Redmi 7
The Redmi 7 features a bigger 6.26-inch HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) display with a u-shaped notch that we have previously seen on Redmi Note 7 series. This makes for an 83% screen-to-body-ratio thus providing a bigger screen estate to users.
It rocks the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset with an octa-core CPU and is paired with 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM with 16GB/32GB/64GB onboard storage. The Redmi 7 features a dual camera setup consisting of a primary 12MP camera with an aperture of f/1.29 and a secondary 2MP depth-sensor. The notch on the front houses an 8MP selfie camera.
It also has a fingerprint sensor embedded onto the polycarbonate rear panel and will be available in red, black and blue colors. Redmi 7 is powered by a 4000mAh battery to boot.
Redmi Note 7 Pro
Moving to the Redmi Note 7 Pro, you get a similar design including the glass back with ‘Aura Design’ and a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a dot-notch. The device has a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5 at the front and the back.
This one is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor which was recently launched with the Vivo V15 Pro. There is an option of 4GB and 6GB RAM with 64GB and 128GB of inbuilt storage with support for a microSD card slot of up to 256GB.
At the back, there is a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture and a 5MP secondary depth sensor. You get the same artificial intelligence (AI) based features including features like AI scene detection, AI Portrait 2.0, and Night mode. At the front, you get the same 13MP camera. Rest all of the features including the battery, connectivity options, and the software remain the same.
This one also comes in three color options including Neptune Blue, Nebula Red, and Space Black. The Redmi Note 7 had managed to sell 200,000 units within “a few minutes”, according to Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain.
