Today, Lu Weibing, vice president of Xiaomi Group and general manager of Redmi brand said on Weibo that Redmi 7 will be equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and it should be the first time to put the glass panel Popularize Smartphones below $150.

Xiaomi Redmi 7 is the lowest variant of the Redmi 7 series. Previously, the Redmi Note 7 was introduced in China in early January 2019. While the pro variant, the Redmi Note 7 Pro, landed first in India at the end of February. Recently, the CEO of Xiaomi Lei Jun has revealed that the Redmi 7 will hit the market with a price of around 700 to 800 yuan, between $104 and $119.
