The Xiaomi Mi 9 almost spoiled the party to Samsung when it was presented the same day as the new family of Galaxy S10, and now it seems that in a curious turn of the marketing, the tables have changed. At the same time that Xiaomi has presented its highly anticipated Redmi Note 7 Pro in India and around the world, Samsung has launched (coincidentally or not) the Galaxy A10 , a terminal that as we will see below is going for the entry market : specifications that They seek to compete with Xiaomi for a price not usual in the Korean.
Samsung has bet a pioneering all-screen design in the low-end of 2019, with a notch in the shape of a drop of water that follows the wake of the Redmi Note 7, and condemns the obsolescence to the classic eyebrow notch that reproduced until the satiety in 2018. Thus, the front of this A10 is all-screen but maintains a wide bevel in all its outline and especially in the bottom. The rate of use of the front by the screen reaches almost 82 %, matching the figures of the high range of Samsung a couple of years ago.
The screen is 6.2 inches, a generous size for a terminal with this price and these features. In addition, it mounts an IPS LCD panel with HD + quality. According to Samsung, it is a new generation Infinity-V screen, optimized for this new notch in the form of a drop of water that the Korean firm opens in 2019.
Inside, the Samsung Galaxy A10 has 32GB of storage expandable to 512GB by microSD card, all this, at par with 2GB of RAM and an Exynos 7884B Octa-core processor at 1.6 GHz. The terminal incorporates Android series 9.0 Foot under the Samsung One UI personalization layer. The battery remains standard with 3400mAh capacity.
In the section of the cameras, Samsung has opted for a single main camera of 13MP with HDR, aperture f / 1.9 and the ability to record videos in Full HD at 30fps. On the front camera, there are no surprises in its 5MP and an aperture f / 2.0.
It draws attention that Samsung has not opted for the fingerprint reader for this terminal: it does not include it in the front, or in the back, or under the screen. In contrast, the Galaxy A10 incorporates facial recognition as a method of unlocking. Finally, note that incorporates, how could it be otherwise, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm jack and micro USB 2.0 connector. Likewise, it will be put on sale in blue, red and black.
The Samsung Galaxy A10 has been officially presented in India along with the Samsung Galaxy A30 and A50. All of them will go on sale next March 2, 2019, and the Galaxy A10 will cost 8490 rupees, about $120. As for their versions, will be available in red, blue and black, in a single configuration with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, expandable by microSD memory cards.
