Samsung is planning an Unpacked event on February 20 to showcase the upcoming flagship Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus and the Galaxy S10e. With great likelihood, the Koreans also present the highly anticipated Galaxy F, Samsung’s first cell phone with a foldable display. It should, unlike the Mate Flex by Huawei, be unfolded from the inside out – so like a book. LetsGoDigital ‘s journalists have used Samsung’s latest teaser video to render 3D images of the Galaxy F.
In terms of price, the Galaxy F will set new standards. This should cost at least $1800 and be available in the colors black, blue, green and silver. In addition, it appears in limited quantities, estimated to be about one million devices. A variant with 5G support, it should probably initially only in South Korea.
The team from LetsGoDigital rendered this 3D image from a teaser video from Samsung. Samsung will probably present official information about the installed hardware at the unpacked event. So far, however, many credible details have been published by potential insiders and industry insiders.
The Galaxy F closed 4.58 inches measure and resolve in 1,960 x 840 pixels. When unfolded, the OLED display has an aspect ratio of 21: 9 and brings 2,152 x 1,536 pixels to 7.3 inches diagonal. Two batteries bring the folding phone to work. It is unclear, however, whether Samsung the Galaxy F Batteries each 2200mAh or spent 3100mAh. This results in a total capacity of 4400mAh or 6200mAh – and this power will also be necessary to use the device properly in everyday life.
Samsung sets on the Galaxy F, as with the S-series, on a current processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 855. And as with the S-series, the device comes in Europe with another chipset, the in-house Exynos 9820.
Triple camera for the Galaxy F Samsung presented the first prototype on a keynote in November 2018, but then in a dark environment and only for a short time. Samsung certainly delivers the Galaxy F with a triple camera, which will probably be similar to the Galaxy S10 used. One of the lenses offers an ultra wide angle.
So that you can save all the shot pictures, and of course everything else, the flip phone comes with a lot of space. There are two variants: one with 512GB and one with 1TB. Both times with 12GB of RAM. It will not be long before the official presentation of the device. On the 20th of February, we will probably know more about the Galaxy F – even when it will be released this year.
