Design
This Retroflag MEGAPi Case applying the most iconic element in the retro game world as a homage to the most classic console ever made. Behind the small, hinged door, there are two USB ports and one standard RJ-45 connector. The MegaPi contains a custom board that holds 2 USB ports (mimicking the original ports placement), functional power and reset buttons (they included the script on their website so the user can add it to the Pi at will) and an LED power indicator. RetroFlag also released the “Classic USB Controller M”, a 6-button Genesis 2 inspired controller, to go along with the MegaPi.
Features
A Raspberry Pi running RetroPie, Recalbox, or Lakka is ideal for use as a retro gaming console. The MegaPi case boasts working power and resets buttons, an LED indicator on the front of the console, safe shutdown and restart functionality, EmulationStation metadata saving, and a hinged cartridge slot for microSD card storage. That’s one of my favorite elements of previous RetroFlag releases. I prefer to use one operating system (OS) per microSD card, so onboard microSD card storage is a useful feature. I keep around a RetroPie microSD card, Raspbian microSD, and cards loaded with Lakka and Recalbox as well. Additionally, as with its SNES Raspberry Pi case, there’s a matching MegaPi controller which emulates the look and layout of the Sega Megadrive gamepad. Ultimately, this is a must-buy for any hardcore retro gaming enthusiast.
Conclusion
There is a Retroflag MegaPi Case and a MEGAPi Wired USB Game Controller for game players to get fluent playing experience. You can choose one of them or the two. We can buy it from TOMTOP at $18.19
