As a result of high competition from Chinese manufacturers such as Xiaomi and Huawei, Samsung is experiencing a drop in sales. For this reason, the South Korean company is preparing a major update of budget smartphones. Today we received a mention of one of them.
Journalists from the German edition of AllAboutSamsung reported that the Galaxy M30 is equipped with a 6.38-inch Infinity-U-screen with a physical resolution of 2220 by 1080 pixels. This means that the frames will be thin, the display will receive a cutout in the form of a falling drop for the front camera. The resolution of its sensor will be 16MP.
Since we have touched the camera area, the device will reportedly receive three modules on the rear panel, and the main one will have a resolution of 13MP, and the other two will have 5MP. The characteristics of the modules remain secret.
The source said the phone will have a physical size of 159 x 75.1 mm with a thickness of about 8.4 mm. The main advantage of the novelty will be a 5000mAh battery with support for fast charging. The disadvantages include last year’s version of the operating system Android 8.1. There is the reason to believe that there will be two versions of the smartphone: 64GB and 128GB of memory. Both will have onboard 4GB of RAM.
Currently, there is no information regarding the chipset that will be used on the Galaxy M30. According to the specs found on the Geekbench website a few days ago, it looks like the phone will be equipped with Samsung’s Exynos 7885 chip. The Samsung Galaxy M30 will most likely be presented in a month along with the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20. The price of smartphones and the date of the start of sales is unknown.
