In early December, Vivo launched its first two-screen smartphone called Vivo NEX Dual Display, equipped with high-end Snapdragon 845 processor and comes with 10GB of RAM. Recently, a new variant of this smartphone with a “less powerful” configuration was unexpectedly found on the Chinese TENAA certification agency website, suggesting that Vivo is developing a new version more. Cheap price for this phone.
More specifically, Vivo V1820A and Vivo V1820T have appeared in the TENAA database a few days ago. The model numbers of these two devices are quite similar to Vivo NEX Dual Display (V1821A and V1821T), but this is not the only difference. The specifications of this duo are similar and clear, they are all cheaper, “less powerful” variants of Vivo NEX Dual Display.
The low-cost version of Vivo NEX Dual Display will still be equipped with two monitors, a 5.49-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a 6.39-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Instead of using the Snapdragon 845 processor, this version will run an 8-GHz 8-core chip and is likely to be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 chipset, combined with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory.
Unlike the Vivo NEX Dual Display with a 12MP + 2MP + TOF three-camera system on the back, this variant is only equipped with a three-camera cluster with sensors of 12MP + 13MP + 2MP respectively. However, it still has a fingerprint sensor under the screen, running Android 9 Pie and comes with a 3425mAh battery.
Vivo V1820 weighs 200.19 grams and measures 157.19 x 75.3 x 8.09mm. When launched, this phone will have only one color option that is yellow. Unfortunately, the TENAA certification document does not include any images. Currently, it is unclear how Vivo will name this variant but for reference, the company previously launched the Vivo NEX A duo (running Snapdragon 710) and Vivo NEX S (running Snapdragon 845).
Unfortunately, TENAA does not include images of the device, so we cannot see what this device will look like later. But we hope the TENAA list will be updated soon. Apart from that, the presence of this new variant enhances us on the Vivo NEX smartphone. Where in addition to Snapdragon 845, Vivo also launched the Snapdragon 710 variant called Vivo NEX A. The premiere will probably take place in the next quarter. Probably in this way, the price will fall by some 500 yuan (about $72).
