Huawei-owned Honor is all set to launch its Honor V20 smartphone today. The company will unveil the smartphone at an event in China at 3 pm CST (12:30 PM IST). The event will also be broadcasted live. Those interested can watch the event live here
Huawei Honor V20 is likely to sport a hole display with the front camera embedded in it. The selfie camera hole will be similar to the recently launched Huawei Nova 4.
The Honor V20 was announced earlier on December 11. The handset offers a 48-megapixel rear camera featuring Sony IMX586 sensor, making it the world’s first smartphone to do so. It is also the company’s first smartphone to sport an on-screen camera.
As per the Chinese mobile maker, the on-screen front camera design uses 18-layer technology stack. Honor is calling this screen Full-View Display 3.0. The firm has also been teasing the smartphone through various posters. Accordingly, it is expected to be backed by 4,000mAh battery.
Honor V20, as announced by the company will be powered by 7-nm Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC. It is rumored to come with a 25MP front-facing camera and a 6.4-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2310 pixels. The handset may pack 6GB/8GB of RAM coupled with 64GB and 256GB internal storage.
Recently, the company also teased camera capabilities of the upcoming smartphone. Honor V20 is said to come with 960fps slow-motion video recording along with ‘Advanced GPS’ support.

While the Honor V20 will go on December 26 in China as Honor V20, it will be launched globally as Honor View 20 in Paris on January 22.
