Xiaomi ‘s co-founder and chairman Lin Bin had announced a new 48MP camera that will be featured in January, and the first details about it through the teaser poster published in Weibo appear to be known.
The original information reported that the 48MP camera would be the Xiaomi Mi 9, but it may not be the case since the two teaser posters mention the name of the expected device being Redmi Pro 2. In addition, in one of two teaser shows that inside the Redmi Pro 2 will be the Snapdragon 675 processor, without any other detail about RAM and storage.
The Snapdragon 675 chip was introduced by Qualcomm about two months ago. This processor contains eight Kryo 460 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.0 GHz, the Adreno 612 graphics accelerator and the Qualcomm AI Engine. The Snapdragon X12 LTE modem theoretically allows you to download data at speeds up to 600 Mbps. Production standards – 11 nanometers.
Another reputation says the smartphone screen will have a punch-hole selfie camera on the screen, that is, the camera inside a hole placed under the screen so there is no notch, which if done will happen for the first time on its smartphone Xiaomi, while there are still chances to have the back covered by glass.
In addition, the network information also revealed that the Redmi Pro 2 will be equipped with a 5.84-inch water drop screen, rear-mounted fingerprint, battery capacity will be 2900mAh with support fast charge technology and a standard 10W charger.
Other characteristics of the developed smartphone, unfortunately, are not specified. Network sources report that the announcement of the device will take place no earlier than the first quarter of next year. At the end of 2018, Xiaomi will be able to ship about 120 million smartphones. Next year, deliveries are expected to reach 150 million units.
